    Good Morning.

I am taking the unusual step (for me) of writing to colleagues and friends I’ve met since I came to work in Palm Beach County to ask you to spread the good word about “Brian Edwards for Mayor” of Boynton Beach. Even if you don’t live or vote in that community, I am hoping that many of YOU have co-workers, friends and family members who do live there—and I believe that hearing a good word from you about Brian’s qualifications for Mayor might make a difference.

My reason for supporting Brian for Mayor is that I know him, and he is a person of integrity who has wonderful leadership and organizing abilities, and a dedication to public service that never quits.

I can tell you, from personal experience, that Brian Edwards has been a GREAT friend to the nonprofit community—both as a fundraiser at United Way, and as a volunteer himself on numerous Boards and as a community activist. Those of us who are members of Leadership Palm Beach County know him as a visionary and passionate leader of that organization; and all of us who “weathered” the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons at United Way’s know that Brian Edwards is one of our community’s #1 unsung heroes. Brian was working for us all 24/7, behind the scenes, while others crave the limelight. Maybe it is because he served this country as a US Marine for 24 years, but that is just who he is. He has a LONG and distinguished history community service—and he doesn’t do it for the accolades and headlines—but because he thinks it is the right thing to do.

Please get the word out about Brian Edwards to anyone you know who might live in Boynton Beach. Feel free to circulate this email—or your own version of it– to anybody on YOUR contact list that you think MIGHT be voting in Boynton Beach. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a chance to vote FOR someone in a local election whose integrity you know you can trust?? Who is not in anybody’s pocket?? With Brian you can be sure. He has been dedicated to public service all of his life, and will always, ALWAYS do his best to do the right thing for the residents of Boynton Beach.

It’s true that if he gets elected we’ll all be hearing a lot of “AH-OO-RAHs” around City Hall! But that is all just part of Brian’s can-do attitude. He is what veterans call a “for real.” He doesn’t just talk about what he believes in—he really LIVES according to those principles and beliefs.

If you live in Boynton, please vote Brian Edward for Mayor on Election Day, TUESDAY, March 9th!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Some information about Brian’s “platform” and concerns follows.
